August 28th

Today was Ric’s birthday.
Went to the gym and took bodystep, bodypump, and a bodyflow class.
After I got home I baked brownies and cookies for Ric’s birthday.
After school was over, I picked up Aidrin and took her to Build-A-Bear. She was so happy. We were driving through the outside mall looking for the building and Aidrin started shouting, “I see it, I see it!
Mom, you can park over there and we can walk right to it.”
Aidrin was so happy. We got out of the car and Aidrin started to skip to the store. When were walking to the store the patio misters were going above us (since it was about 115 degrees outside). Aidrin was telling me that the sidewalk was a very cooled off sidewalk and that was a really good thing.
When we got there Aidrin wanted a wolf. The wolf was a little on the expensive side, so I said no. So Aidrin found a pretty pink unicorn, and named her Star. Aidrin didn’t need anyone to tell her what to do next. She remember exactly what needed to be done.
When we were done at Build-A-Bear we came home, Camryn went to a birthday party, and Terran went to a party at one of her friend’s house.
I took Ric to Outback for dinner.I tried the tilapia. It was really good. It was smothered in crab meat.

August 27th

And let the madness begin….
Ric is now teaching two classes a week.
Soccer season is now starting. Aidrin’s team had their first practice tonight. It just happened to be 113 degrees. It has been a really hot August. We haven’t had much of any Monsoon storms this summers. So no cooling off. The girls came back home and their faces were so red. They were kind of out of shape. They haven’t had to run any laps for about a year.
Terran had mutual tonight. I let her drive over to the church. She drove a little better.
We were at the stop sign. I told her to go, but she wanted to wait until there weren’t any cars at all on the street. I told her that can’t happen, because there were cars behind us starting to line up. So I directed her that after a car went by to turn. She did and everything went just fine. She pulled into the church parking lot and some of the girls were surprised that she was already driving.

August 26th

Half day today at school. The girls are really enjoying school so far this year. Terran seems to like her classes. She has a digital photo class that she likes.
The doctors office called with Terran’s blood results, that we had had tested the other morning. Looks like Terran’s thyroid is on the low side. So they are going to put her on some medication. Hopefully this will help her feel a little more energetic.

March 7th – Ric and I went on a date to Chilis. I received some free coupons in the mail.

August 24th

Had to take Terran to the doctors for a follow up appointment. She’s doing great. The inside of her mouth still looks a little scary. So the doctor gave her some medicine to help clear up the wounds.
We had Aidrin’s soccer team meeting at our house tonight. So exciting. Her team colors are black and silver. I can’t believe it’s time for soccer again. The little girls seem really cute. There were a couple that she already knew. So it should be a fun year.
We played clue for family night and Terran won. Mr Mustard, in the Dining Room, with the bat.

Just another Saturday

Just another Saturday around our house. We cleaned the pool. Worked on the yard. I took a nap. Lauren went to a birthday party at Skateland and came back with blue hair. Camryn was able to help her cousin babysit tonight. Camryn was so excited. She has been wanting to babysit so badly. Camryn and her friend made up fliers and passed them around the neighborhood. Today was Terran’s first day driving. Ric took her driving first, then it was my turn. It was kind of ok. She came close to some cars. She also went around the corners pretty fast. But that’s what a driving permit is for. To learn. So we will just keep going around the neighborhood, until she gets used to the car. I’m kind of scared to take her out into the real traffic.

August 21st

So tired today. Went to the gym and took Bodystep, Bodypump, and Flow class. Just want to take a nap. I’m doing really good on the wellness challenge. Been diet coke free.
Ric and I went shopping, then he bbq, and it started to storm. It’s quite a show outside. Lots of lightning and thunder.
Not much else going on. Terran looks better. Lips are going down. Not so full and luscious.

So since I haven’t posted for so long……..I thought that I would at least try and update what has been happening around here for the past few months.

Never a dull moment

Tonight was spent in the ER. Terran was out riding her bike, she felt something on her leg, looked down and crashed into the back of a car with her face. She said, “What is that? What’s going on?” Then, she realized that she was falling over, and she had just hit a car.
She called me and asked me if I was home, and asked if I could come and pick her up. I could sense in her voice that something was wrong. I went around the corner, and she was limping rolling her bike along. I looked at her face and her nose and mouth had blood pouring out. I had her sister come and get her bike and had Terran get in the car and drove her home.
We then went to the ER.
ER wasn’t too busy when we got there. They were pretty fast. The doctor saw us. Terran’s teeth looked good. Nothing loose. We had X-rays taken.
Then we had to wait forever to have them read.
She is ok. She is just bruised and sore all over. Her foot hurts, but is not broken or sprained.
Her lips are looking like she had some work done. A little like Angelina Jolie lips.
I’m just really grateful that she is ok.
